He became part of the team at De la Peza & Matuk Law Firm in 1990. He was named Associate in 1995 and became a partner since 2000.
He began his practice as an intern in 1986, in the areas of corporate law, civil and mercantile litigation. Later, as a lawyer, in 1988 he headed the representation in Mexico City from a law firm based in the city of Tijuana, BC.
Mr. Parra holds several certificates, one in Civil Procedures and Mercantile Law, one in Civil Law and another in Trade Law (graduating with Honors) all from the Universidad Panamericana (Panamerican University). Mr. Parra coursed post-graduate studies in Civil Contracts and Damages at the University of Salamanca, Spain (2006).
He has participated in several roundtables and conferences related to his fields of expertise.
In 2010 he was an editorial advisor for the newspaper Reforma.
He is a member of the Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados (National Association of Lawyers).
The experience of over 20 years of Mr. Parra includes litigation in the following areas: civil matters; mercantile; financial, banking, securities, insurance, bonds, factoring, leasing, funds; administrative, specializing in litigation related to public tenders (national or international); litigation arising from administrative contracts (goods and/or services such as PPS, among others); protection, and bankruptcy law.
