HISTORY

We are a law firm established in 1985, founded by José Luis de la Peza Muñoz Cano, who was Dean of the Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico City’s most renown law school) and a professor at several universities such as the UNAM, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico City), Universidad Panamericana (Panamerican University, Mexico City), among others; he was Head Trustee and Head Counsel of Banco Nacional de Mexico (National Bank of Mexico, CITI Bank as of today). Mr. de la Peza won the 2003 National Jurisprudence Award and was nominated as Minister of Mexico’s Federal Supreme Court.

He was President Minister of the Federal Electoral Court between 1996 and 2000. In the November 2000, he was named as one of the 100 most important leaders in Mexico by "Mexican Leaders" a Mexican Publication. Don José Luis De la Peza founded the firm in a house located in the Colonia Roma (Mexico City), considered a national architectural landmark of the “Porfiriato” Era (early 1900’s, President Porfirio Diaz era), which has appeared in many magazines highlighting its simplicity and design.

In our firm we advise both national and international companies in numerous legal business and corporate issues, as well as individuals as leaders in their areas of expertise.

For 25 years we provide services in various legal disciplines grouped into two main branches: litigation and corporate law.
